SIMBA — FIRST OF FIVE, BORN TO LEAD

🐾 Tamara’s Brood

Simba,
First to arrive, before the rest of five.
Mighty Simba,

Large and sure, yet light in his stride,
He moved as though the world complied.

Measured, quiet…
until the dash —

A sudden thud,
a ringing clang,
and in his wake,
bam, bam, bang.

Simba

The Mighty

Arrival

Simba was the firstborn of Tamara’s litter of five kittens — the one who arrived ahead of the others, setting the rhythm for the rest to follow. From the beginning, he carried a quiet steadiness, as though he had already taken his place. He grew to be the longest and most muscular of Tamara’s Brood.

Early Life

As the oldest, Simba was always the first to move, first to explore, and first to test the boundaries of his surroundings. The others followed naturally. There was no need for him to push forward — his role was simply understood. Two sisters left the brood at four months old.

Personality

Simba has the classic temperament of an American Shorthair — balanced, tolerant, and easy to live with. He accepts human presence with calm ease, is gentle with handling, and shows a natural patience with children. He is neither overly demanding nor withdrawn, making him the kind of cat that settles naturally into a home.

Catitude

With humans, Simba is composed and deeply affectionate. He enjoys being handled and will often come close on his own terms, leaning in for contact. At times, he slips into moments of quiet insistence — reaching out with his paws toward the face or neck, as if claiming his share of closeness, pressing in for what can only be described as his version of a kiss.

With other cats, the rules shift — as they always do. He understands the unspoken politics of feline life and moves within it without unnecessary conflict, but he does not yield his place easily. His confidence is quiet, but firm.

Appearance

Simba carries the typical build and presence of an American Shorthair — solid, well-proportioned, and grounded. He is a large cat, stretching over two feet in length from crown to hindquarters, giving him a strong physical presence. His face is sharply defined with a triangular structure, and his distinctive bobtail, tucked slightly to the side, sets him apart at a glance. There is a quiet steadiness to him — strength without display.

Role in Cats Hope™

Simba represents stability — the kind of cat that fits into family life with ease, while still holding his own identity. He reflects the balance between companionship and independence.

Current Life

Now growing into himself, Simba remains steady, observant, and quietly assured — still the first to step forward, and still the one the others measure themselves against.

🐾🐾 Big, affectionate, and quietly demanding — he leads his siblings, while others scatter from his thunder and clangs that follow.

Simba’s Glory

Large and majestic,
his signature bobtail hangs to the left,
a soft fringe that marks his form.

Friendly, affectionate,
he likes to perform —
a bow that reveals his frame,
broad chest, long legs, a steady gaze.

In sport,
soccer is his solitary game,
the flying squirrel —
his play with the family.
