Supporting foster care, emergency medical support,
and the stories of cats and caregivers.

CATS HOPE™ POLICIES

Cats Hope™ was created in response to the everyday realities of caring for abandoned, vulnerable, and at-risk cats.

Its purpose is not only to help cats in immediate need, but to build a more stable and responsible support structure around cat welfare. This includes supporting cats already under care, preparing a registered fosterer network, and raising funds for practical needs such as emergency medical care and food support.

Many fosterers, owners, and community caregivers are often left to manage urgent veterinary bills and daily feeding costs without insurance or reliable support. Cats Hope™ exists in part to help bridge those gaps where possible.

At the same time, Cats Hope™ documents the lives connected to the mission — the cats, the caregivers, and the realities of rescue and recovery. These stories ensure the work remains visible, grounded, and accountable.

Cats Hope™ operates on a structured and transparent set of support programmes designed to provide practical help while maintaining responsible limits and accountability.

These programmes form the working framework of Cats Hope™ and define how support is provided to cats and caregivers.

Registered Fosterer Network

Cats Hope™ is preparing to establish a registered fosterer network to support safer placements and more structured care for cats in need.

The intention is to move away from informal, fragmented rescue arrangements toward a more organised system where cats can be placed with greater oversight, stability, and continuity of care.

Fosterers within the network operate within defined guidelines to ensure consistency, responsibility, and proper care. This includes expectations around feeding, monitoring, medical follow-up, and communication, so that each cat receives appropriate and accountable care.

Over time, this network is intended to form the backbone of Cats Hope™, allowing support to be directed where it is most needed without exceeding realistic capacity.

Emergency Medical Support

Funds raised through Cats Hope™ are intended to help bridge urgent veterinary care gaps, especially where caregivers face sudden medical expenses without insurance support.

In many real situations, cats require immediate treatment — for injuries, infections, or underlying conditions — and delays in care can lead to suffering or loss. At the same time, caregivers are often left to manage these costs alone.

Cats Hope™ aims to step in where possible to reduce that burden, helping to ensure that cats receive timely medical attention when it is needed most.

This support is not unlimited and must operate within available resources, but it exists to address one of the most critical pressure points in cat welfare.

Food Support

Cats Hope™ aims to organise food support for fosterers, owners, and community caregivers who are already feeding and caring for cats on a daily basis.

Feeding is one of the most constant and demanding aspects of cat care, especially in multi-cat environments or community settings. For many caregivers, this becomes a long-term financial responsibility that is carried quietly and without support.

Food support is intended to ease that burden and help stabilise ongoing care, ensuring that cats continue to receive consistent nutrition without placing unsustainable strain on the individuals caring for them.

This support recognises the essential role played by everyday caregivers in maintaining the welfare of cats across different environments.

Responsible Care

Support is provided within realistic and sustainable limits. The focus is on proper care, not expansion beyond capacity.

Cats Hope™ does not aim to take in large numbers of cats without the ability to support them properly. Instead, the emphasis is on responsible care, where each cat receives the attention, medical support, and stability required for their wellbeing.

This approach reflects the reality that rescue work is not only about intake, but about long-term responsibility. Overextension leads to compromised care, which ultimately harms both the animals and the people trying to help them.

By maintaining clear limits and focusing on sustainability, Cats Hope™ aims to build a support system that is stable, accountable, and able to continue over time.

Programme Availability

All Cats Hope™ support programmes operate within available funding and capacity.

These programmes are activated, expanded, or limited based on the resources currently available. In some cases, support may not be immediately accessible or may need to be prioritised according to urgency and need.

Cats Hope™ does not operate on unlimited funding. Every form of support — including medical assistance, food support, and foster network development — depends on the funds that have been raised and allocated.

This ensures that support remains responsible, transparent, and sustainable over time.
