She arrived with fire—
and made space her own.

Arrival
Kimi was about three months old when she arrived—small, bright, and already full of movement.
came at a time when Tamara and her three kittens were away on an adoption trial. Found beneath a drain with her brother, she was lifted out of the dark and brought into a different kind of life. Her brother went on to another foster home. Kimi stayed.
Early Life
The American Shorthairs accepted her almost immediately—folding her into the group as though she had always been there. She was, after all, much the same age as Tamara’s kittens, and somehow, she fit.
From the beginning, she carried a spark that did not settle.
A little Puss in Boots with a pumpkin face, she would grumble when picked up—yet never quite pulled away. There was always a contradiction in her: resistance on the outside, something softer underneath.
She did not ease into her new space. She moved through it.
Personality
She scales window grills and cupboards with ease, then slides down the sides like a fireman—quick, precise, and entirely in her element. At times, she seems to defy gravity, crawling along vertical surfaces in quiet, spider-like movements.
She can be quick to swipe if not handled carefully, her front paws always ready—but even then, there is no malice in it. Only energy. Only instinct.
Kimi does not wait to be understood. She lives fully, and expects the world to keep up.
Appearance
Her face—round, expressive, almost storybook-like—recalls a tiny Puss in Boots, with eyes that are alert, curious, and always searching for movement.
At the end of her short bob tail sits a small pom-pom ball—an unexpected softness that follows her everywhere she goes, flicking and bouncing as she moves.
She is rarely still—except for the small pom-pom that never quite keeps up.
Role in Cats Hope™
She reminds us that not all belonging is calm. Some of it arrives fast, bright, and impossible to ignore.
Current Life
She has not slowed. She has only grown into it.

but bright with something
that would not stay still.
Up the walls,
across the rails,
through the air
and down again—
a flicker of motion,
never quite where
you last saw her.
She climbs,
she leaps,
she holds on—
and then lets go
just in time
to land.
Not every fire
burns slowly.
Some arrive like this—
fast, alive,
and impossible to miss.
