GOLDIE TIANLU - A DIVINE BEAST

Goldie TianLu –
Simply Divine

She has lived in many places
but belonged to none.

Carried from hand to hand,
from door to door—
a life passed along
like something
no one meant to keep.

She learned early
that safety does not stay,
that warmth can disappear overnight,
that trust
is something that must be rationed.

And still—

she remained.

Goldie

The Divine

Arrival

At the time, there was already too much happening.

There were ongoing hoarding cases being attended to, daily checks on multiple cats, and coordination with CWS and SPCA. There were other rescues in motion — Cherry, Chester, and others — and time was divided between locations, including visits to build trust with skittish cats who would not come near.

Goldie appeared during this period.

She was one of the pedigree-looking cats wandering the landing — not settled, not safe, and not under anyone’s care. At first, she was simply another presence in a space already carrying too many lives.

Then she fell ill.

The cat flu took hold quickly. Her condition deteriorated to the point where she looked as though she would not survive. That was the moment of decision. She was taken in, sent to the vet, and brought in.

Early Life

Goldie had already been through more than was visible.

Her body carried the signs — weakness, depletion, and the quiet aftermath of a life that had not been supported. What had happened before did not need to be fully known to be understood.

Recovery was not immediate. It took time, care, and consistency.

But she responded.

What began as a cat on the edge of survival slowly shifted. Strength returned. Stability followed. And with it, something else — a presence that was no longer fading, but holding.

Goldie could not be integrated immediately.

She was separated in a cage at first — not by choice, but by necessity. She was unwell, defensive, and reactive. The flu had taken hold, and alongside it, a severe ear infection that took time to diagnose and even longer to resolve.

Her behaviour reflected it. She would jump forward suddenly, using force and noise to drive other cats away. It was not aggression without cause, but a response shaped by pain, fear, and survival.

Recovery came in stages. The flu eased first, but the ear infection lingered. With treatment, time, and a controlled diet, her condition gradually improved. She was later sent for sterilisation, and after that, something began to shift.

It took months before she could be slowly integrated.

The One Who Chose to Stay

When the time came, Goldie did not hold back.

She tried — actively, deliberately — to integrate herself. It was not passive. It was effort. She moved closer, stayed longer, adjusted her responses. It became clear she did not want to be pushed out. She wanted to remain.

And over time, she was accepted.

What began as resistance softened into something else. She became calmer, more measured, less driven by fear. But the strength remained — not removed, only refined.

Personality

Goldie carries a dual nature.

She is calm, grounded, and often submissive within the group, but beneath that is a readiness to act. When she senses a threat, she does not hesitate to shift — from stillness into defence.

There is something of a guard dog in her. Protective, aware, and willing to step forward when needed. She is not reactive without reason, but she is never unaware.

Catitude

Goldie does not simply adapt — she decides.

Where she was once defensive, she has learned control. She can hold her place quietly, or step forward with force when required. She reads situations and adjusts — not out of fear, but choice.

Over time, she also became something unexpected — a stabilising presence. Where tension rises, she is often there, diffusing, stepping between, or holding the space until it settles.

She is not the loudest in the room. But she is often the one who keeps it from breaking.

Appearance

Goldie has the presence of a Siberian-type cat.

Her coat is full and layered, with a natural density that gives her a soft, rounded outline. There is a quiet strength in her structure — balanced, grounded, and composed.

Her features are open and expressive, framed by a coat that carries both weight and softness. She does not demand attention. But she holds it.

Role in Cats Hope™

Goldie represents transformation through recovery.

Not all strength is present at the beginning. Some of it is formed through illness, separation, and the slow process of rebuilding.

She also represents protection — not through dominance, but through awareness and response. She is both guard and mediator, holding a space that allows others to settle.

Current Life

Now fully integrated, Goldie lives within the Cats Hope home as a calm and steady presence. She no longer needs to defend herself in the way she once did, but the instinct remains — controlled, measured, and purposeful.

She has found her place, and she holds it with quiet certainty.

We Bleed Too

They walk the same ground we do.
Breathe the same air.
Live under the same sky.

They speak.
They think.
They feel.
They bleed—just the same.

Citizens of this world—
only unheard.

Goldie’s Story

The life before she arrived

She did not begin here.

Not in safety.
Not in care.
Not in a place where she was meant to stay.

She moved from home to home—
never settling,
never certain,
never held long enough to belong.

There were too many cats.
Too little food.
Too many reasons to fight.

So she learned.

To defend.
To push forward.
To survive.

She carried it all with her—
in her body,
in her reactions,
in the way she fought,
and in the way she later tried, so carefully, to stay.

This is the story of what came before.

And how a cat who was given away
again and again…
became the one who chose not to leave.
