Part 1-Fated Hearts

Every rescued cat has a story.
Some begin with abandonment.
Some begin with neglect.
Some begin with tragedy.
Mimi Dolly Guli’s story began quietly beneath a tree, where a small cat waited for someone to notice her.
Like countless cats before her, she had not chosen life on the streets.
No one knew exactly what circumstances had brought her there. Like many cats found on the streets, her past remained a mystery.
Whatever circumstances had brought her there, she had become another unwanted cat trying to survive one day at a time. For every cat like Mimi Dolly Guli that is rescued, many others remain unseen, waiting for the same chance that may never come.
Fortunately for Mimi Dolly Guli, someone did notice.

A compassionate finder refused to simply walk away. Concerned for her welfare, help was sought, and Nigel stepped forward to trap her safely. It was the beginning of a remarkable chain of kindness that would eventually involve rescuers, veterinarians, fosterers, and an adopter who had not even met her yet.
When she was brought into care, one surprise awaited everyone.
She had already been sterilised.
Someone, somewhere, had once taken responsibility for her. Yet somehow she had still ended up living alone on the streets.
We will probably never know exactly what happened. Life changes. Families face difficulties. Cats become lost, abandoned, or displaced for many different reasons. Whatever the circumstances, the result is often the same. Rescue organisations, volunteers and compassionate individuals become the ones who carry the responsibility of giving these animals another chance.
Before Mimi Dolly Guli even arrived at CatsHope™, another act of kindness had already taken place.
Tracy had seen her story and opened her heart to a cat she had never met. She offered Mimi Dolly Guli a permanent home. CatsHope™ would simply become the temporary bridge between street life and that new beginning.
Her arrival was filled with cautious optimism.

As with every new rescue, her first day was devoted to ensuring that she was healthy enough to continue her journey. She underwent FeLV and FIV testing, received her deworming treatment and vaccination, and settled into the safety of her temporary enclosure.
The test results brought welcome relief.
She was negative for both FeLV and FIV.
At last, it seemed that everything was falling into place.
None of us realised how quickly events would change.
