In the Celestial Cat-Dragons of CatsHope™, Mimi takes the form of a Golden Pixiu of the Houses of Kismet and Griffin. Her celestial identity reflects her watchfulness, protective affection and unmistakable sense that she is the Queen of the household.

Mimi’s imagined guardian form honours a newborn who once depended entirely on human care and who grew into a devoted companion, keeping close to the person who raised her.

Gently tread… softly whisper…
Let fears subside…

The Bottle-Fed Survivor

About Mimi

Arrival

The First CatsHope™ Mascot

Mimi was found alone in a car park in 2017, when she was barely a day old, with a small remnant of her umbilical cord still attached. She could not yet see or walk and needed constant care to survive. She became the first CatsHope™ mascot.

Early Days

A Life That Needed Human Hands

Without a mother to feed and care for her, Mimi depended on human hands. She was bottle-fed around the clock, with feeds every few hours. After each feeding, she also needed gentle stimulation to help her urinate and defecate.

Her early days were shaped by these repeated acts of care. Feeding, keeping her warm and helping her with her basic needs became a daily routine. Through patience and close attention, Mimi survived those critical early weeks. What began as an emergency rescue became a life shared with the person who raised her.

Personality

Mimi is deeply affectionate and emotionally attuned. She responds quickly to changes in her environment — especially human emotion. When voices are raised or distress is sensed, she will run toward her caregiver, as if asking what has happened. Her bond is not casual. It is attentive, responsive, and present.

Catitude

Mimi does not simply exist in a space — she responds to it. She moves toward emotion, not away from it. Raised voices, sudden changes, or moments of distress draw her in rather than push her back. Where other cats retreat, Mimi approaches. She does not observe from a distance.
She participates.

Appearance

Mimi has the appearance of a flame point Siamese with a pale ivory coat, salmon pink tones on her nose, ears, legs and tail, and blue-violet eyes. Her large ears and delicate facial features give her an alert, expressive appearance.

Role in CatsHope™

Mimi is the first CatsHope™ mascot. Her life represents care at its earliest and most demanding stage: a newborn who could not survive alone, and the commitment needed to help her grow. As the Queen of the household, she also brings her own affectionate, attentive and particular presence to the family.

Current Life

Born on 30 June 2017, Mimi is now nine years old in 2026. She lives in the CatsHope™ Sanctuary as its first mascot and is a deeply bonded companion. She remains affectionate, attentive and particular about the people and places she loves.

🐾🐾 Every life that survives begins with someone who chose not to look away.

Mimi (Mimosa)

She speaks in soft syllables—
“Mi… Mi…”—as though calling
from a place not fully healed.

Found abandoned in a carpark
on her very first day,
Mimi carries a quiet memory of loss.

She startles easily,
dreams deeply,
and sometimes wakes
from shadows we cannot see.

Yet she is gentle.
She stays close.
And she still chooses to trust.

Mimi is not just a cat to be loved—
she is a soul to be handled with care.
